Superride Terms of Use
Effective date: 4 October 2026
These terms apply when you use the Superride app and the Superride server it talks to (together, "Superride"). Please read them: by using Superride you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
1. Who we are
Superride is provided by Aleksey Goncharov, an individual developer based in the United Kingdom ("we", "us", "our"). You can contact us at 1061040@gmail.com.
2. What Superride is
Superride forecasts the weather along cycling routes: wind relative to your direction of travel, rain, temperature and gusts, together with an estimated timing, a Ride Score, a best start time, clothing suggestions and food and drink suggestions.
Superride needs no account. Using it requires a Superride Pro subscription (section 3). We supply it for your personal, non-commercial use.
3. Superride Pro subscription
- What it is. Superride Pro gives you access to the whole app. Without an active subscription the app shows only the Superride Pro offer, Restore purchases and these terms.
- Plans and price. Superride Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, weekly or yearly. The price, the billing period and any free trial are shown on the offer screen before you buy, in your local currency and including any taxes Apple charges.
- Free trial. The yearly plan starts with a 3-day free trial, once per Apple Account. If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the yearly subscription starts and you are charged when the trial ends.
- Payment and renewal. Apple charges the payment to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase (or when the trial ends). Your subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; Apple charges the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends. If the price changes, Apple tells you in advance and, where the law or Apple's rules require it, asks for your consent.
- Cancelling. You can turn off automatic renewal at any time in your Apple Account's subscription settings, including from Superride (Settings → Superride Pro → Manage subscription). Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Superride Pro until the end of the period you have paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
- Refunds. Purchases are made through the App Store and handled by Apple under its terms. We can't issue refunds ourselves; you can ask Apple for one at https://reportaproblem.apple.com. Nothing in these terms limits any refund or cancellation right you have under the law.
- Restoring. Restore purchases (on the offer screen and in Settings) brings back your subscription on another iPhone or after reinstalling, using the same Apple Account.
- If we stop Superride. If we stop providing Superride while your subscription is active, we will stop further renewals, and you can ask Apple for a refund of the unused part of the current period.
4. Forecasts are guidance, not safety advice
You are responsible for your own decisions and your own safety. In particular:
- Weather forecasts are estimates produced by computer models. They can be wrong, sometimes badly wrong, especially for wind, gusts, showers and thunderstorms, and especially further ahead.
- The wind at rider height, your predicted pace and arrival times, the Ride Score, the verdict, the best start time and the recorded-ride replay are all our estimates. Real conditions, traffic, road surfaces, mechanical problems and your own form will differ.
- Clothing and food and drink suggestions are general information for healthy adults. They are not medical, dietary or nutritional advice. If you have a medical condition, allergies or special dietary needs, or are unsure what is right for you, ask a qualified professional.
- Always check the conditions yourself before and during a ride, follow the rules of the road, and don't ride in conditions you aren't comfortable with.
- Don't operate the app while riding in a way that distracts you from the road.
5. No warranty
We work hard to make Superride accurate and reliable, but we provide it "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promise that forecasts, timings, scores, clothing or food and drink suggestions, or any other information in the app will be accurate, complete or suitable for your purpose, or that Superride will always be available or free of errors.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
6. Our liability to you
- We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, and for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
- Otherwise, we are only responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or our failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable.
- Superride is for domestic and private use. We are not liable to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.
- To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for all claims relating to Superride is limited to the greater of £100 and the amount you paid for Superride Pro in the 12 months before the claim.
- If defective digital content that we supplied damages a device or digital content belonging to you, we will either repair the damage or pay you compensation, unless the damage was caused by your failure to follow our instructions or to install free updates we offered.
7. Third-party services
Superride lets you connect Strava and Ride with GPS. Connecting them is optional. When you do:
- their own terms and privacy policies apply to your account with them, including the Strava Terms of Service and the Ride with GPS Terms of Use;
- data from them is shown only to you and cannot be shared or exported from Superride;
- you can disconnect at any time in Connections, which revokes our access and deletes their data from your iPhone.
Superride is not developed, sponsored or endorsed by Strava, Ride with GPS or Apple. Weather data comes from Open-Meteo.com (under the CC BY 4.0 licence), including Met Office data (under the CC BY-SA 4.0 licence), and, as a backup, from Apple Weather. Maps come from Apple Maps. We are not responsible for the availability or content of these third-party services. The sources and their licences are listed in the app under Settings → About & legal → Data sources.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Superride for anything unlawful, or in a way that could harm others;
- access or use our server other than through the Superride app, or scrape, overload, disrupt or try to get around its limits or security;
- copy, modify, reverse engineer or decompile the app, except to the extent the law allows you to do so;
- use Superride, or data obtained through it, to build a competing service or to redistribute weather data; or
- import route files you don't have the right to use.
We may suspend access to Superride's online features if we reasonably believe you are breaking these rules.
9. Your routes and content
Route files you import stay yours and stay on your iPhone; we don't receive them and claim no rights in them. If you share a forecast image, you choose what to share and with whom, and you are responsible for that.
10. Our rights in Superride
Superride, including its design, text, graphics and software, belongs to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on Apple devices that you own or control, as allowed by the App Store's Usage Rules and these terms. Weather and map data belong to their providers and are used under their licences.
11. Changes and availability
We may update Superride, change or remove features, or stop providing it. We may also change these terms, for example to reflect changes to the law or to the app. We will publish the updated terms at the same address with a new effective date, and tell you in the app about any significant change before it takes effect. If you keep using Superride after the change takes effect, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, you can stop using the app, cancel Superride Pro (section 3) and delete your data at any time (Settings → About & legal → Delete all my data).
12. Ending these terms
You can stop using Superride at any time. We may end these terms or suspend Superride if you seriously break them. Sections 4, 5, 6 and 13 continue to apply after these terms end.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts. If you live in the European Union, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country you live in, and you can bring proceedings in its courts.
14. Apple App Store terms
If you downloaded Superride from the App Store, the following also applies:
- These terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for Superride and its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for Superride.
- If Superride fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any (for Superride Pro, see section 3). To the maximum extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to Superride.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to Superride, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, and claims arising under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
- If a third party claims that Superride or your use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging that claim.
- You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You must comply with any applicable third-party terms when using Superride.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
